10" x 14" (image size) - PEN&INK
This
is a close-up view of the "A" furnace, the smallest of the
five furnaces still standing (of the original seven). This was an "old
style" furnace which got shut down in the early 1960's and is now
the only one of it's kind still in existence in the world.
The building to the right is known as The Stockhouse. It was built in the late 1800's and is the oldest building standing on the Bethlehem Steel grounds. A wider view of this building can be seen in Stacks from the Past It took me over 60 hours to complete this drawing. |
