10" x 14" (image size) - PEN&INK
| This is a view of the Hoover-Mason Trestle that was used to transport the various materials to the blast furnaces. This particular view, after sitting still for over 10 years, is now gone due to the construction of the new casino as part of the BethWorks project. I was told that the trestle wasn't "torn down", but it was dismantled. These ore cars were moved down the trestle closer to the blast furnaces, and the trestle was taken apart with the intention of re-assembling it and using the converted ore cars to transport people.. perhaps as a tour. It took me over 125 hours to complete this drawing. |
