11" x 14" (image size) - PENCIL
I don't have a special place in my heart for dinosaurs, but in keeping with bringing the impossible to life... I thought I'd re-create an animal we'll never get to see. As a model, I used a simple line drawing from a children's book about dinosaurs. I created the skin texture and the background from my imagination. It took approx. 35 hours to complete. For those who are guessing... this is not a Velocyraptor. This is a Deinonychus (pronounced: die-non-eye-cuss). It was a small, very quick bipedal dinosaur having a large curved claw on each hind foot. It is a member of the Raptor family, but not nearly as large as the familiar Jurassic Park stars. This fellow was less than 4 feet tall. You can read more about it here.
