Smoking Sammy

Smoking Sammy… he loved to smoke,
He huffed and puffed and coughed and choked,
Cigars, cigarettes, a hard coffin nail,
Didn’t matter to him, he’d light and inhale,

He’d thought about quitting one time or another,
He’d always been nagged by his wife and his mother,
Each time he would quit, it would last for a while,
But he really missed hacking up large chunks of bile,

He made it to forty and woke up one morning,
His poor little lungs, they gave out with no warning,
He lied in his bed and he started to choke,
That didn’t stop Sammy, he wanted a smoke!
